Here's the Scoop...

The Alpha Course seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. It is described by its organizers as "an opportunity to explore the meaning of life".  Alpha courses are being run in churches, homes, workplaces, prisons, universities and a wide variety of other locations. The course began in Britain and is being run around the world by various Christian denominations. Alpha is organized as a series of sessions over 8 weeks. Each session starts with a meal, followed by a talk and then discussion in small groups. The talks explore the core beliefs of the Christian faith.  All are invited and no particular faith is required to participate.

This offering of the Alpha Course will be offered in two locations.

On Sunday Mornings beginning September 15, Alpha is begin offered at Road to Emmaus Church. It is located in Suite 2 of The Northwood Office Center at the corner of Forest Hills Dr. and Linglestown Rd in the Harrisburg area (Lower Paxton Township).  There will be a breakfast buffet offered at 9:00am and conversation will begin at 9:30.

Alpha will also be available on Sunday Afternoons beginning September 15th in Dillsburg.  It will be held at the Jaycees Building on Rt. 15 South (just past 84 Lumber). Lunch will be offered at noon and conversation to begin afterwards.
